I'll say it again: Fuck the Lakers.

I'll say this again, but with feeling: Go Nuggets!

See you in the playoffs, Neum!

Neum, there's an open team in our fantasy league, jump in.

Also, while they're obviously not going to repeat as champions, the Raptors are not a "borderline playoff team" as nearly every website attests. Unless they blow it up by selling off Lowry, Gasol and Ibaka for picks and young'uns, they're 4th or 5th in the East, might even win a playoff round.

The Pelicans have A LOT of dudes even without Zion. Lonzo was pretty good in the first half and has barely seen the floor in the second.

I will pass, but thanks.

And hey, nice opening W for Denver. Eat it, Blazers.

25 game suspension for Ayton. This is a weird NBA season already.

Hoping the Suns manage to get that reduced. Things went to shit quickly.

They're on a 41-win pace. Not bad.

Timely Suns discussion.

I'm a little surprised Trae Young turned into Steph Curry already.

Huh cool the Suns beat the Clippers without Ayton.

In the second half, the Lakers outscored Memphis 71-44, and it wasn't really that close due to garbage time points for Memphis. If Dwight Howard stays healthy, then Lakers are probably better than everybody.

Mavericks got a shit game from Luka, but still managed to win at Denver. Porzingis adds a lot of spacing and rim defense for the Mavericks. He'll help the Mavericks probably reach the playoffs, but the biggest plus is that Dennis Smith, Jr. isn't there to ruin games.

Jokic needs to play himself into shape, but he managed a 10-10-10 triple double. Dude is lumpier than even his normal.

Draymond's +/- was -30. If he checks out, they might not win 35.

Just saw that Curry is seriously injured. Uh, maybe 15?

Although I have decades of San Francisco team fandom, the city itself is becoming a sort of grotesque avatar of some of the worst aspects of modern America. It whips that, after an historic run of dominance, the Warriors have turned into absolute shit as soon as they abandoned their historic fanbase for an obscenely-priced arena in Techbrosylvania.

And Steph Curry broke his hand. Time to contract the Warriors.

Trimmed to 27, still in the first half. Watch this be the largest comeback in NBA history once Harden and Westbrook's shots start falling, and I destroy your fantasy team.

More likely watch this be the largest comeback as Harden makes 50 free throws.

To be fair they probably spent Saturday night on South Beach. I feel like road teams playing the Heat shouldn't even fly in to Miami until 90 minutes before tip off.

They also lost to a struggling Nets team and won a game 159-158 in regulation on the road trip. They don't play any defense and I think their fanbase is going to be sick of Morey, D'Antoni, Harden, and everyone else by the time this season is over.

My Mavericks are currently second in the West. If not for a last second three from Danny Green, then they'd be #1.

If Luka can shoot near 50%, then he's a legit MVP candidate. I doubt he can, but maybe in a couple of years. He's still a turnover machine.

I didn't see the game, but how can the Raptors, down Lowry and Ibaka, tossing in guys who were in the G-League last year, beat the supposed championship-contending Lakers on the road?

I don't know, but if you have to play both LeBron and AD 35+ minutes just to keep it close in an early home loss to a mediocre team, their legs are going to fall off sometime in April.

I say to you sir (flicking white glove in your general direction), that while the Raptors have no bleeding hope of a repeat championship. they will finish about 4th in the East and are not mediocre. And there's a fantasy team for you to take over, you expressed vague interest, and the lot (Yahoo auto-picked) aren't all bad.

Because I'm bitter about the conference imbalance I will stubbornly believe that 4th in the east translates to mediocrity until I'm forced to relent.

Had the fantasy league been a fresh draft I probably would have jumped in, but I do not enjoy keeper leagues and am diametrically opposed to joining one midstream.

It's only 2-keeper, and they are DeAndre Ayton and Kyle Lowry. So you could feel free to make over your team. Damn, I wish I could come up some jest about Queer Eye For the Straight Guy or some shit, but it's 9:08 A.M. and I'm drunk.

Take over the team, Fence. You'd be very welcomed. It's a long-going concern, and you could get a fresh roster in a few months.

Plus, you could trade me Khris Middleton for one of my many useful centers.
